The Survivors Trust runs a free, national helpline 7 days a week. We welcome and encourage all survivors of rape or sexual abuse and violence to call our helpline. We are a fully inclusive service, providing safe, non-judgemental support to survivors, their supporters and professionals.

When you call us, you'll be warmly greeted by one of our specially trained helpline workers who are there to listen and support you. We give you the time and space to talk about whatever you need to. 

For busy and closed times, we have a 24 hour voicemail service where you can leave your contact information for a call back from one of our helpline worker. These call backs show as a withheld or blocked number. You can also email us at

The National Rape Crisis Helpline is run by Rape Crisis South London (RASASC) and provides support to women and girls aged 13+ who have survived any form of sexual violence, at any time in their lives.

The Helpline is open every day of the year and provides specialist, confidential emotional and factual support. This support is provided completely free of charge.

National Ugly Mugs (NUM) is a pioneering, national organisation which provides greater access to justice and protection for sex workers who are often targeted by dangerous individuals but are frequently reluctant to report these incidents to the police.  These offenders are often serial sexual predators who pose a huge risk to the public as a whole.

Beyond Support is a free and confidential call back service for women who are involved in prostitution and want to explore possible alternatives. We offer a freephone telephone number for those who want help. Support via email is also available. We listen to women’s experiences, understanding the complex circumstances being faced and point her in the direction of further support if wanted, in line with the specific steps she wants to take. We do this through:

  • Not Judging

  • Not bombarding her with advice

  • Protecting her confidentiality

For women of any age or background affected by self-injury, whether their own or that of a friend or family member. Call for free, confidential, non-judgemental emotional support around self-injury.

All calls are answered by female volunteers who have received specialist training. You don’t have to be in crisis or distress at the time you call, and you can talk to us for up to half an hour each time we are open. We ask that you choose either the helpline or webchat, but not access both services on the same night.

Calls are free of charge from all landline telephones and also from mobiles on all major networks. Calls will not be shown on BT landline bills. If you are using another telephone provider please enquire with them whether 080880 numbers will appear on your phone bill. 

If you use the telephone service, you will get through to a Helpline advisor who will explain our confidentiality policy and ask for details about what has been happening to you so that they can provide guidance and information.  
Among other things, the Helpline advisor will probably ask you if you have been to the police and how you are currently feeling. If we ask a question that is too personal then you do not need to answer it. The Helpline advisor will then give you information and advice that you may or may not decide to follow. If you have mentioned an issue that we do not feel we can accurately give information on, we may give you the details of another service to contact. 



If you contact the helpline via our online form, a Helpline Advisor will respond to you by email. We endeavour to respond to all online contact as soon as possible, but please be aware the demand for our service is very high. If you need advice quickly, we would suggest you call the helpline.

We are a UK service supporting adults (aged 18+) who are experiencing intimate image abuse, also known as, revenge porn.

The Helpline was established in 2015 alongside the legislation which made it an offence to share intimate images or videos of someone, either on or offline, without their consent with the intention of causing distress.
